We’ve never really embraced the whole skull thing—until now. For her little gold Bing Bang cuff, Anna Sheffield just made those skeletal little guys look too damn cute to resist. (And just in time for Cinco de Mayo!) While they can no doubt hold their own, they look awfully good stacked with a gold watch, too. —erica

Inspiration of the day: This is me on the right (probably my senior year of high school) I was the captain of the swim team, and probably the fittest I’d ever been. I know I can look better than this, it’s just going to take a lot of hard work to get back to that place.

The Brooklyn Nets logo

“It looks like a Bentley.” That’s what my co-worker said when I asked her what she thought about the new Brooklyn Nets logo. Keeping that in mind it’s not that hard to imagine that Jay-Z created the new logo then. It’s just natural - hip hop, basketball, and expensive luxury cars just go hand-in-hand nowadays.

Jay-Z is a master at branding. I’m pretty sure he knew that the new logo was evoking Bentley when he created it. This way, regardless of how the team does, you’ll always have a sense that they’re a quality team because of the subliminal advertising of the logo. BOOM.

The new primary logo – created by Brooklyn’s own JAY Z – retains the shield from its previous iteration, and adds that iconic Brooklyn ‘B’ to the basketball that has been part of every logo since the franchise’s 1967 inception as the Americans. The Dodgers had their lettermark, and the Nets have added another model for the borough to bear. “Brooklyn,” of course, is spelled out below. Nets CEO Brett Yormark called this “the new badge for Brooklyn,” and JAY Z believes the design’s boldness demonstrates confidence in the new direction.

I have to admit that I’m kind of in love with the new Nets logos.

dammit! Basketball was the one thing NY-ers didn’t have to think about, every other sport has split the city. I’m usually the classic underdogs fan Mets/Jets/Islanders ;) So where does this new team place me? This season I actually got into basketball, I like the new Knicks team. I’m just jealous of the Nets sexy re-branding…and Jay-Z of course.

I literally did a double take when I saw this guy leaving my office building. The problem was I didn’t know which twin I had seen. (I think my mouth might have actually dropped open for a split second)

Obviously I had to do some twitter stalking to figure out which one was in NYC.

(my life is sad)

I’m really loving this dress. Does anyone know what this kind of neckline is called or where I can get a similar style for less $?
